ODOR CONTROL ………..New Challenges and Opportunities
For over 30 years since NCM has been active in the odor control business, we have seen major shifts in public attitude towards odors and other emissions from landfills, transfer stations and composting facilities. A confluence of regulations and public attitudes encourage, even demand, recycling. At the same time the same public has become increasingly intolerant of any odors or emissions from facilities that manage and recycle their waste. Add social media and aggressive legal system to the mix and it’s no wonder that owners and operators of landfills feel besieged with complaints, lawsuits and negative press.
To combat this tidal wave of assaults on the solid industry, new tools haveemerged to combat odors and to provide a clearer picture of the nature of impacts from solid waste facilities. New adaptive odor control systems that monitor and respond to changing odor conditions. A new family of neutralizers that have been tested using EPA guidelines and come with current toxicity reports have been created to meet the changing needs of our clients. New delivery systems that target specific odors and odorous locations.
